Stirling Dynamics has been nominated for a Business Leader Award (BLA) in the category of Export and International Business. The Business Leader Awards celebrates successful businesses in Bristol and the South West. The awards were open to businesses across the South West and were independently judged by a panel of senior business and community figures.
Stirling’s nomination for the Export and International Business Award recognises the company’s successful export strategy, which has nurtured new contracts in the US, Singapore, China, South Korea and most recently, Japan. Headquartered in Bristol, Stirling delivers a range of complex systems and engineering technical services to the aerospace, marine and training and simulation markets. Last year the company’s export sales grew by 28% and hit £5.4 million.
On the BLA nomination, Stirling’s Business Development Director, Andrew Pfeil, commented: “2017 has been something of a bumper year for us. We celebrated our 30th anniversary at the beginning of the year, which was an achievement in itself. This was then quickly followed by the news that we’d been placed in the 3rd annual Sunday Times Lloyds SME Export Track 100 and the news that we’d won the BVCA Business Transformation Award 2017. We’ve also received nominations for the Insider International Trade Awards 2017 and the MS&T Magazine Industry Simulation and Training Awards 2017. To now find out that we have also received a Business Leader Awards nomination is a testament to the hard work put into the business by every single member of Stirling’s staff.”
Over 750 business leaders are set to attend the BLA award ceremony on Thursday, 28th September, which is being held at Aston Gate in Bristol.
