Principal Engineer, Martijn Renooij, has been invited to speak at a webinar during the Eurasia Airshow 2020. Being held between the 2nd-6th December, like many industry events this year, the Eurasia Airshow will be taking place digitally. In its new virtual format, the Eurasia Airshow will provide a platform for sector leaders to discuss the future of commercial and military aviation within the region.
Martijn will be presenting at “The Importance of Aeroelasticity for Upcoming Air Platforms” webinar on the 2nd December at 7 PM (GMT) and he will be discussing why aeroelasticity is key to any aircraft design programme, and why future programmes will require further development of aeroelastics methods and tools. Martijn will be drawing on his vast experience in the field of loads and aeroelastics supporting a large range of programmes in the civil and military markets for OEM’s, aircraft modifications and research; he also recently provided technical assistance in the areas of loads and aeroelastics to the Hürjet trainer programme.
On the webinar, Martijn commented: “I’m delighted to have been invited to speak at the Eurasia Airshow virtual event. Aeroelastics is an important part of aircraft development ever since the early days of flying. As technology advances, aircraft developers now have a decision to make on how and where to apply these new technologies; this can have a significant impact on project risk, cost and duration and therefore, should not be taken lightly.”
