Bristol, UK. 15 November 2023 – Stirling Dynamics, an advanced engineering company will be unveiling their latest cockpit controls at the world’s largest modelling, simulation and training event this month.
They will be joining more than 450 organisations exhibiting at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) which is held in Orlando, Florida in the US from 27 November to 1 December 2023. I/ITSEC is organised and sponsored by the National Training & Simulation Association (NTSA), an organisation which represents the modelling, simulation and training industries.
Stirling Dynamics will unveil their brand new Pedals, the latest addition to a full suite of active controls for rotary and fixed wing aircraft simulators, which Stirling Dynamics has designed, developed and manufactured for over 30 years.
Visitors to I/ITSEC will have the chance to try out the new Pedals along with the Single Rotary Throttle and Compact Stick controls, on a simulator at the Stirling Dynamics stand, 2421.
The whole suite of active controls are highly reconfigurable to a wide range of aircraft, and build on the existing force feedback technology for which Stirling Dynamics is renowned. The high fidelity controls are robust with real-time control and programmable resistance that simulate real flight, for a superior feel and more authentic and effective training experience.
The new Pedals have been developed with an innovative, modular design allowing a choice of three footplates, from a simple bar configuration through to a more complex arrangement with toe brakes and trim switches. The pedals can be linked in a tandem cockpit arrangement or used as an independent control, giving training providers maximum flexibility with one product.
Now in their 19th year exhibiting at this event, Stirling Dynamics will be joining organisations from the Armed Services, Industry, Academia, and various Government agencies who are in pursuit of improving training and education programs.
Jonathan Boon, Head of Cockpit Controls at Stirling Dynamics said:
