We are thrilled to announce that Stirling Dynamics has been awarded Consultancy of the Year at the British Engineering Excellence Awards (BEEA) 2018. The British Engineering Excellence Awards is an annual event that has become the benchmark for great British engineering design. Every entry is scrutinised and assessed in great detail before the winners are decided.
Trajan Seymour, Stirling’s Head of Engineering, who collected the award, commented: “We are honoured to receive the Consultancy of the Year award, especially given the calibre of the other nominees. Stirling has been providing specialist technical consultancy services into the aerospace and marine sectors for over 30 years now and is continuing to prosper due to our talented and dedicated staff, as well as a new approach to international markets.
“Entrants for the Consultancy of the Year category were asked to demonstrate innovative and timely solutions to engineering problems posed to them by their customers. Other factors that were considered included the ratio of consultancy staff to the number of projects delivered, number of staff applied to those projects and the success of the projects. The judges were also interested in seeing how Stirling has developed during the last five years and how it plans to grow its business.
“Stirling has grown in international markets due to our partnership approach; we work very hard to support our customer’s own capabilities and ambitions, rather than acting as a pure subcontractor. The projects Stirling has supported over the last few years have included: new aircraft design in Japan, aircraft modification and upgrade programmes in the US and Canada, landing gear design in China, and the design and development of flightworthy components for aircraft in South Korea.”
The winners of the Business Engineering Excellence Awards were announced at an awards luncheon on Thursday 4th October at Venues County Hall in London. For more information on Stirling’s consultancy services, visit stirling-dynamics.com/services/
