Stirling’s Business Development Director, Andrew Pfeil, and AMS Business Manager, Gareth Vaughan, are heading to Rotterdam this week to visit ITEC 2017 – the annual European training, simulation and education forum. ITEC is a well-respected training and simulation event that attracts a high calibre of industry, military and academic visitors from all over the world. It is also a key event to discuss the latest issues in the training and simulator sector and try out new technologies. Both Andrew and Gareth will be networking with other show attendees and exhibitors as well looking for collaboration opportunities with other innovative technology companies, specifically in live, virtual and constructive training.
Commenting on Stirling’s attendance at the show, Andrew said: “It is important for Stirling to attend shows like ITEC 2017 to keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends. There are many hot topics in the industry right now including the integration of virtual visualisation systems into constructive systems and the live/virtual balance argument. Insights like these feed into our technology roadmaps and help us keep ahead of the curve.”
In addition to walking the exhibition floor, Andrew and Gareth will also attend the F-35 conference “F-35 Lightning II: A Cultural Shift in Training and Integration Paradigm”, which is being held in conjunction with ITEC 2017. Stirling has a particular interest in the F-35 training programme as we supply the high-fidelity hand controls for the F-35 pilot training simulators. The F-35 conference promises to explore the impact of the F-35 across joint battlespace, in terms of the new training demands that this 5th generation system will bring.
