Last night, Stirling’s Business Development Director, Andrew Pfeil, and Marketing Manager, Michelle Williams, headed to Bristol’s Ashton Gate for the annual Business Leader Awards (BLAs). The BLAs celebrate successful businesses in the South West and Stirling was awarded the “Export and International Business Award 2017”. This category “recognises significant and sustained international growth, along with a clear understanding of overseas markets” and was awarded to Stirling based on our successful export strategy and resulting sales.
Headquartered in Bristol, Stirling delivers a range of complex systems and engineering technical services to the aerospace, marine and training and simulation markets. Exports contribute to over 70% of our business and last year our export sales grew by 28% and hit £5.4 million.
On receiving this award Andrew Pfeil commented: “The calibre of nominees in the Export category was excellent and had achieved outstanding results. For Stirling, this award represents the dramatic turnaround of the business over the past three years and our improved market position. Receiving this award is excellent news and a testament to the hard work of every Stirling employee”.
