Providing niche expertise for new aircraft design
We provide our clients with a comprehensive design and analysis service from concept evaluation through to certification, in-line with EASA, FAA and military regulations. Furthermore, our capabilities have been applied to the development of new aircraft in many specialist areas of the process, including capability enhancements and life extensions.
Aircraft types that we have worked on include civil business jets, regional aircraft, single aisle, wide-body and long-range. We have extensive experience of military combat and transport aircraft, as well as civil and military helicopters for a range of international customers including Airbus, Mitsubishi, COMAC, Leonardo, TAI and Bombardier. The delivery of our services, from short-term to more involved programmes is achieved by employing a range of business models including on-site support, time-and-materials and fixed-price packages.
Regional Aircraft Design Support
To achieve delivery of the company’s first regional jet aircraft programme, Mitsubishi Aerospace Corporation (MitAC) turned to Stirling for our specialist support. The range of skills required to service the aircraft design were not available within the company or even within the region, so external expertise was required to progress the Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ), latterly known as the Mitsubishi Spacejet.
Bombardier C-Series Independent Loads Review
During the development of their first aircraft with wing-mounted engines, Bombardier Aerospace approached us to provide an independent evaluation of the aircraft design loads. The key attraction was the set of mature tools and processes that we could offer, developed over multiple programmes, to carry out an independent evaluation of the loads.
